2017 Nissan Build
Since 2006, Nissan North America has partnered to sponsor and volunteer-build a home in Williamson County for a hard-working family. This year marks the 11th home Nissan has built in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury.
Funding for the Dixon home is part of the $1.5 million donation to Habitat for Humanity International that Nissan announced in September 2012. In the Americas, Nissan will fund the construction of homes in Arizona, California, Michigan, Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas, and Toronto, Canada.
The Nissan-sponsored Habitat home is equipped with many “green living” features, including low-flowing plumbing fixtures, programmable thermostats, energy-efficient fluorescent lighting, high-performance windows and ENERGY STAR® appliances. These eco-friendly amenities align with Nissan’s Green Program, which supports efforts to reduce the company’s impact on the environment.
Our thanks to our partner Nissan and the over 200 volunteers who donate their time each year to build with us!
We are excited to welcome the Williams family to our homeownership program.
Jarvis and Tiarra are natives of the Greater Nashville Area. They have two children, Jaylen(8) and Janiyah(3) and have been living in Franklin Public Housing while they pay off debt and move into a position to provide something better for their family.
Jarvis works in the warehouse at Logo Brands in Franklin. “My employer and my co-workers are very excited to be a part of my build, and our entire church family has expressed eagerness to come build alongside us on our home. We are so grateful to Nissan for the sponsorship of our home. We are blessed to benefit from their generosity. It will never be forgotten.”
Thank you to Nissan!
