2018 Fall Faith Build
The work of Habitat for Humanity is driven by the desire to give tangible expression to God’s love. During the Fall Faith Build, groups from local churches come together to raise $70,000 to build an affordable home for a local family in need.
We would like to thank our 2017 sponsors for their financial support this year: First Farmers & Merchants Bank, Fourth Ave. Church of Christ, Franklin Christian Church, Harpeth Presbyterian Church, Holy Family Catholic Church, St. Andrews Lutheran Church, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, St. Peters’s Episcopal Church, St. Philip Catholic Church, and St. Philip Knights of Columbus.
Habitat Williamson-Maury seeks congregations of all sizes who would like to put their faith into action and serve those in their community. If you are interested in partnering, please contact Kim Randell at 615-550-5616.
We are excited to welcome Kathlene Jones to our homeownership program.
Kathlene was born and raised in Columbia, TN and graduated from Central High. After high school, Kathlene completed an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at Columbia State Community College and later completed a Bachelors of Psychology at Martin Methodist College.
For 24 years, Ms. Jones lived in a mobile home purchased by her father that, over time, began to literally fall apart. “The heat and air had both stopped working, and many nights I worked on lesson plans in the cold or the suffocating heat. At one point, the water heater fell through the floorboards due to rotting. Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury could not have approved my application at a better time. I did not know what I was going to do and I am beyond grateful.”
