2017 Fall Faith Build
The work of Habitat for Humanity is driven by the desire to give tangible expression to God’s love. During the Fall Faith Build, groups from local churches come together to raise $70,000 to build an affordable home for a local family in need.
We would like to thank our 2017 sponsors for their financial support this year: CMG Financial, Community Health Systems, First Presbyterian Church of Columbia, Thompson Station Church, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Zion Presbyterian Church, Destiny Church, and St. Peters’s Episcopal Church.
Habitat Williamson-Maury seeks congregations of all sizes who would like to put their faith into action and serve those in their community. If you are interested in partnering, please contact Kim Randell at 615-550-5616.
We are excited to welcome Chloe Jenkins to our homeownership program.
Chloe Jenkins works at the Wang Vision Institute in Nashville and attends Brentwood Baptist Church. She keeps most of her belongings packed in boxes, just in case her rent goes up again and she has to move. “My ever-increasing rent means I end up working lots of extra hours to keep our heads above water.”
Purchasing a home will stabilize and reduce the housing expenses of the Jenkins family and also allow Ms. Jenkins and her two boys, Jacob (6) and Mason (4), to have more time to spend together. “I am so grateful for my home sponsors, not only for volunteering to help fund and build my home, but also for providing me the opportunity to improve my boys’ quality of life.”
