2019 Nissan Build
Since 2006, Nissan North America has partnered to sponsor and volunteer-build a home in Williamson County for a hard-working family. This year marks the 13th home Nissan has built in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury.
Funding for the Cobb home is part of the $1.5 million donation to Habitat for Humanity International that Nissan announced in September 2012. In the Americas, Nissan will fund the construction of homes in Arizona, California, Michigan, Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas, and Toronto, Canada.
The Nissan-sponsored Habitat home is equipped with many “green living” features, including low-flowing plumbing fixtures, programmable thermostats, energy-efficient fluorescent lighting, high-performance windows and ENERGY STAR® appliances. These eco-friendly amenities align with Nissan’s Green Program, which supports efforts to reduce the company’s impact on the environment.
Our thanks to our partner Nissan and the over 200 volunteers who donate their time each year to build with us!
We are excited to welcome Karen Cobb to our homeownership program.
old daughter, Ashlyn Grace, in a more conservative environment. Faith is an enormous aspect in Karen’s life. She attends Grace Community Church and regularly participates in ladies’ bible study, Sunday school, and the care ministry.
The family have big plans for their new home, which include purchasing a pet chicken, decorating, and having regular BBQs. Additionally, Karen is looking forward to the peace of mind gained from knowing that Ashlyn-Grace will grow up in a safe environment. Karen would like to thank her sponsor, Nissan, for helping with the opportunity to “change Ashlyn-Grace’s destiny.”
Thank you to Nissan!
