Introducing the Vice President of Development, Ken Hinman
Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury is thrilled to welcome, Ken Hinman, as the Vice President of Development.
Ken describes his journey as "a balance of professional dedication and a zest for life's diverse experiences."
Before his career in non-profit leadership, Ken was a retail buyer for Scarbrough’s of Texas, working his way to General Manager. Over time, he piqued an interest in the cosmetic industry, where he spent 15 years working with high-profile fragrances by Elizabeth Taylor, Karl Lagerfeld, Nino Cerruti, and the House of Fendi. His success led him to impressive roles with other luxury brands, including CEO at Ingram Design Collective, and Hartmann Luggage where he served as Executive Vice President of Product Design, Manufacturing, Marketing and Global sales.
After 35 prosperous years in the for-profit space, Ken decided to shift his focus to the nonprofit sector. He recently served as the Development Director for Saddle Up! where he engaged Middle Tennessee’s growing community by raising revenue through events, drives, and donor contributions to support the organization’s programming.
Ken’s lifelong commitment to philanthropy shines through his extensive board and volunteer positions at noteworthy organizations including Learning Matters, First Steps, Youth Courts, Make a Wish Foundation, Vestry positions in the Episcopal Church, and Habitat for Humanity. He previously served on the ReStore committee with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville, playing an integral role in the selection process of the latest retail location in Lebanon.
In addition to service to others, Ken's life revolves around a love for family. He relishes the simple joys of spending time with his golden retriever, engaging in a friendly game of tennis, relaxing at the beach, cooking for family and friends, and exploring new destinations through his love for travel.
Welcome to the team, Ken!
